<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
During a recent scrapping weekend I got done a few layouts... this is a lot for me :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<br /></div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
This layout is one of my favorites. I love doing layouts of my grandparents. I have many fond memories of them and it's nice to remember them through my scrapbooks.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTYlQ-BbATvIGEiBvNiXVhyphenhypheniUDOCEwuSUuFIkvwb-7m7S_nNCZQrhOMTVDDAhqYsnpxfKOr8uZj69RGKu_jG9HHshXUv0cgEDj5o9eAefPea0PInP5FVh0lIcgQzSquyBNy5zzDAmZOjfs/s1600/IMAG0691.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="379" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjTYlQ-BbATvIGEiBvNiXVhyphenhypheniUDOCEwuSUuFIkvwb-7m7S_nNCZQrhOMTVDDAhqYsnpxfKOr8uZj69RGKu_jG9HHshXUv0cgEDj5o9eAefPea0PInP5FVh0lIcgQzSquyBNy5zzDAmZOjfs/s640/IMAG0691.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
I originally started this layout as a Halloween layout for Aaron's album. I have no idea why I thought these colors would work for Halloween pics! I like how it turned out and love how the colors go together.</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaTx0uyv0PvhZgbcd9j6DMoJbLDP0ejEOzNVfNFsdszg7UmVfHC6iv6sGgS7cm9DMvajWzFMRgA2_uoP4_Q4C-DAGfFKKj0RQO1qRh9ac_rO2OeNKxeffrYeIzB6_hzHZtM5lgWD-cQw9U/s1600/IMAG0692.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="380" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaTx0uyv0PvhZgbcd9j6DMoJbLDP0ejEOzNVfNFsdszg7UmVfHC6iv6sGgS7cm9DMvajWzFMRgA2_uoP4_Q4C-DAGfFKKj0RQO1qRh9ac_rO2OeNKxeffrYeIzB6_hzHZtM5lgWD-cQw9U/s640/IMAG0692.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This layout is of pics from Aaron's first horse show through his Theraputic Riding. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaVcuPO0vZ3qGzuU_ghZlOfB2Du0gWRBRIVEA50JqHbkds-lzVzlkmEu6mejK4wRBlQPVwDl5L-5UrpCL-HNvEdRo-JlCvu1FD2xRF1ZV0CAjyU9LFQvqEJEGrZm7DEsIe4C3eriyf_uIW/s1600/IMAG0693.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="382" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEjaVcuPO0vZ3qGzuU_ghZlOfB2Du0gWRBRIVEA50JqHbkds-lzVzlkmEu6mejK4wRBlQPVwDl5L-5UrpCL-HNvEdRo-JlCvu1FD2xRF1ZV0CAjyU9LFQvqEJEGrZm7DEsIe4C3eriyf_uIW/s640/IMAG0693.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Super quick layout. I'm trying to remember that every layout doesn't need to be a work of art. Sometimes I just want to get the pics down and move on. :)</div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
This layout is from a kit from Close To My Heart. I love their kits! They're so easy to put together. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">

<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another layout from the You & Me CTMH kit. </div>
<div class="separator" style="clear: both; text-align: center;">
<a href="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsKczKdRJ5agsnoGVXIoAHmIFudVC-Zv_m3duoX_o0SJBQJiOaoLXl5mhrlpKt1xeGlYbBfHHUfhLJ72K3F2sdGYiv5emiudc078CSDP9dSkqv-bEv4mFQBs91Z7XQR8IGt47XYxGxhSGI/s1600/IMAG0696.jpg" imageanchor="1" style="margin-left: 1em; margin-right: 1em;"><img border="0" height="382" src="https://blogger.googleusercontent.com/img/b/R29vZ2xl/AVvXsEhsKczKdRJ5agsnoGVXIoAHmIFudVC-Zv_m3duoX_o0SJBQJiOaoLXl5mhrlpKt1xeGlYbBfHHUfhLJ72K3F2sdGYiv5emiudc078CSDP9dSkqv-bEv4mFQBs91Z7XQR8IGt47XYxGxhSGI/s640/IMAG0696.jpg" width="640" /></a></div>
<br />
<br />
<div style="text-align: center;">
Another favorite layout (I say that a lot, don't I?) I always get ideas from the How - To Program books. Those books are awesome! They give the layout ideas and exact dimensions for the cuts to put the layout together! (BTW, if you're interested in any CTMH products - email me!! )</div>

I made four of each design. Very simple but cute - I think :)</div><div>
<br /></div><div>The card base is A2 - 5 1/2 x 8 1/2. The larger mat is cut at 4 x 5 1/4 and the smaller mat is cut at 2 1/2 x 3 7/8. The monogram letter and circle are cut from the Mini Monograms Cricut Cart and are cut at 2.75.</div><div>

My goal lately is to not treat each layout as a work of art and spend an hour on each page. I need to realize that the photos are the focus of the page, not the embellishments or other "stuff". So, I'm thinking that I'm pretty happy with the way this page turned out. My little Strawberry kinda speaks for herself. Don't you think?</div>Nikkihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/08768548024788908921noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-955329476795293009.post-77642778401986671882010-09-16T00:00:00.000-07:002010-09-16T00:00:02.603-07:00<div><div style="text-align: center; ">My post for TheBugBytes Blog -- I am stepping outside of the usual designing box today. I have seen the incredible projects that the posters have been putting up lately and felt incredibly humbled by their talent!! I've been in some sort of creative slump recently and did not feel as though I would be able to put up something worthy of TheBugBytes Blog! I don't have the Robots cart, so I knew I was going to have to do something different anyway. I have to be honest here, Sentimentals is one of my least favorite carts. I'm not sure why, I guess the images don't really strike me. A couple of the images that I do like are the hands on pages 24 and 25. I am totally picturing a wedding layout with those hands and the words - "With This Ring". I'm saving that one for a layout with my Grandparent's wedding photo. But, for this layout, I decided to do my Junior Prom photo. Wow, was that really 1989?!?! I can't really be old enough to have been at my Junior Prom in 1989!!!! My date and I look like babies!!! Well, those babies are now 37 and 38 and still happily together :) We've been married for 19 crazy years. This layout was so fun to work on. :)</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">So, on to the layout. I used the -</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">Frame, Layer and Shadow from page 30</div><div style="text-align: center; ">cut at 6.12" x 8.12" for a 5x7 photo</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">Phrase and Shift Phrase from page 28</div><div style="text-align: center; ">"Mon Amour"</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">Hand 1 and Layer from page 24</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">&</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">Hand 2, Shift and Layer from page 25</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">I started off by cutting a 1" mat around my black cardstock. I do this because I'm only using the black as a background color and would like to save the "inside" to use on the layout. (I'm cheap like that.)</div></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TD--Mb0WE9I/AAAAAAAACIw/31AS61wK3Eo/s1600/DSC03633.JPG"><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TD--Mb0WE9I/AAAAAAAACIw/31AS61wK3Eo/s400/DSC03633.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5494319191250310098" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></a><br /><div style="text-align: center; ">Next, I cut off 1/2" from two sides of my base cardstock. This will leave me with a boarder of 1/4" around the base.</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TD_AcGm0UaI/AAAAAAAACI4/6D8l0k0RPOg/s400/DSC03634.JPG" /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">I am using a very pretty embossed ivory cardstock, but I wanted to hilite the flowers somehow. So, I used some Stampin Up! chalk to rub over the embossed flowers.</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TD_AcpSdu3I/AAAAAAAACJA/oHkbdDu-rAs/s400/DSC03645.JPG" /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">Next, I put together the frame around my photo with a 8 x 8 square of contrast paper under. I added a bit of ribbon to the top of the layout and the phrase "Mon Amour" with shadow. Don't forget dimensionals for that added depth.</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TD_GwMCJCTI/AAAAAAAACKA/czA6gE97zKI/s400/DSC03642.JPG" /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TD_AdTFxdYI/AAAAAAAACJQ/ptvS65nDy7s/s400/DSC03640.JPG" /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">Now, for my favorite part of the layout. :) I wanted to use the hands from the cartridge to mimic our hands from the photo.</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TD_AczbO4II/AAAAAAAACJI/KNb98Vp-uao/s400/DSC03639.JPG" /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">I wanted to make a sort of corsage on the left hand. Of course, I didn't have any burgundy ribbon. So, I decided to make my own. I had some cream ribbon exactly the width I wanted and Tim Holtz Distress Ink in Fired Brick. Boy did I make a mess!!! I used the Cricut spatula to run the ribbon through the ink pad.</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TD_Ad6Uc37I/AAAAAAAACJY/tYQoIkjvykc/s400/DSC03635.JPG" /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">Unfortunately, the ribbon took forever to dry! I don't know if I used too much ink or what, but it was really messy! My poor Bow Easy is now stained a pretty red color :) Here is the tiny little ribbon with some Flower Soft.</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TD_ILhzu3uI/AAAAAAAACKI/n9eu4F4zGhM/s400/DSC03638.JPG" /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">For my finishing touch, as always, I make sure to handwrite something on each layout. I'm cheap like that and want to save the paper for another project. :) Then, I cut the patterned paper at 11 X 11. That will leave a 1/2" boarder around the layout.</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div><img src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TAm-aWZ9x-I/AAAAAAAACDU/aCBgAnz57IE/s400/DSC03443.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5479119781573281762" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div></div><div style="text-align: center; ">The first item I worked on was the bicycle. I cut it out and put the bicycle together with the shadow. Before adhering them, I added a small white Prima flower with a yellow brad to the basket. I used Flower Soft to create a flower bouquet for the basket of the bicycle. I used colored toothpicks for the stem of the flowers and put some Tacky Glue on the ends then rolled that in the Flower Soft to create the flowers. I made about 5 of them and put them in the basket of the bike. I then finished adhering the bicycle to the shadow. You can see how the blue top part of the bicycle puckers out a bit from the shadow to leave room for the bouquet.</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TAm9ubRWvqI/AAAAAAAACC0/Y4RdPLIdtEo/s320/DSC03456.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5479119026965102242" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px; " /><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TAm-a_31yhI/AAAAAAAACDc/zWeC9T6k9nE/s400/DSC03447.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5479119792704440850" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">My next step was the frames for the photo and nameplate. I cut all four pieces and used Tim Holtz Distress Crackle Paint in Tarnished Brass on the top layer of the frames. I love the finish this paint gives to the project. In case you can't get it from the name of the paint, you get a very cool antiqued crackle design to the finish of the paint after it's dried. It's a perfect effect for Heritage projects. You simply paint the surface of the frame and wait for it to dry. :) The thicker the layer of paint, the deeper the crackle finish. </div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><img src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TAm9tlX-iHI/AAAAAAAACCs/uXRyTwD9rHc/s320/DSC03457-1.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5479119012497361010" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px; " /><br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TAm-bRIuVKI/AAAAAAAACDk/zJ6V4sLnhns/s1600/DSC03449.JPG"></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TAm-bRIuVKI/AAAAAAAACDk/zJ6V4sLnhns/s1600/DSC03449.JPG"><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TAm-bRIuVKI/AAAAAAAACDk/zJ6V4sLnhns/s400/DSC03449.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5479119797338657954" style="text-align: left; display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; cursor: pointer; width: 400px; height: 300px; " /></a><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">Next, layer the corner accents top and shadow and adhere to the layout about 1/2" from the corner of the patterned paper.</div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; "><br /></div><img src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TAm9vOX5mjI/AAAAAAAACDE/ehx5ZCAG0fg/s320/DSC03451.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5479119040682760754" style="display: block; margin-top: 0px; margin-right: auto; margin-bottom: 10px; margin-left: auto; text-align: center; cursor: pointer; width: 320px; height: 240px; " /><br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/TAm9vkT-B2I/AAAAAAAACDM/PSu7VG_LDw4/s1600/DSC03450.JPG"></a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div style="text-align: center; ">About 4" from the left side of the layout run a coordinating piece of ribbon from the top to the bottom of the layout. After I composed myself - what an honor that was! - I decided to get working on something for her and her readers! One of the carts of the month is Accent Essentials. As I was looking through the handbook I fell in love with two of the accents. For some reason, they just jumped out at me and I loved the whimsical look to them. So, here's what I did with them.</span></div><div><span class="Apple-style-span" style="font-size: 17px; color: rgb(102, 102, 102); "><br /></span></div>Anyway, on with my project for today. I used the Acent Essentials cart to put some whimsical designs on the background paper for this very simple layout of me with my daughter. This is one of my favorite photos of us together.<br /><br />I started with three designs from the Accent Essentials cartridge. I chose Accent 19, Accent 20 and Accent 24. Here they are laid out on my G screen. I divided the designs into quarters on the mat and changed up the sizes of each one. I wanted them all to be different so no two are the same size. Accent 20 is made of two pieces. I decided that I wanted them to be welded together so I used an "I" from George to connect the bottom of the "heart".<br /><br /><br /><a href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S-yxuSttrtI/AAAAAAAACBE/3g1QVemxGKI/s1600/DSC03483.JPG" style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 102, 204); "><img alt="" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S-yxuSttrtI/AAAAAAAACBE/3g1QVemxGKI/s320/DSC03483.JPG" border="0" style="border-width: initial; border-color: initial; border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; " /></a><br /><br />I found four colors that went along with my photo and laid them out on the quarters of my mat.<br /><a href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S-yxugqrC6I/AAAAAAAACBM/PRpRH55SWao/s1600/DSC03471.JPG" style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 102, 204); "><img alt="" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S-yxugqrC6I/AAAAAAAACBM/PRpRH55SWao/s320/DSC03471.JPG" border="0" style="border-width: initial; border-color: initial; border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; " /></a><br /><br /><br />After I put all of the designs down on my layout I realized that I should have gone back and taken some pics of the in between, but I had already glued them down. Sorry! To prepare the cutouts for the layout, I very lightly brushed a bit of color over them. I chose a coordinating plain piece of Bazzil Cardstock and placed the designs randomly around the cardstock.<br /><a href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S-yxu4dhrtI/AAAAAAAACBU/cmrrCRkcEdI/s1600/DSC03474.JPG" style="font-weight: bold; color: rgb(51, 102, 204); "><img alt="" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S-yxu4dhrtI/AAAAAAAACBU/cmrrCRkcEdI/s320/DSC03474.JPG" border="0" style="border-width: initial; border-color: initial; border-top-width: 0px; border-right-width: 0px; border-bottom-width: 0px; border-left-width: 0px; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; border-style: initial; border-color: initial; " /></a><br /><br />Here are some closeups of the cutouts. I used Stickles (who doesn't love, love, love Stickles!!) to add a bit of bling on each design. She is posting one challenge an hour! I know I won't be able to play along all day. But, I'll play as long as I can.<br /><br />Her first challenge was to create a project with Mom in mind. I saw this Critter from the new PC Cartridge Create-A-Critter and I immediately thought of my mom. She passed away in November of 2008. She absolutely loved all things frog!<br /><br /><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S9xVydhco8I/AAAAAAAAB8k/JJEAJrEfI6g/s1600/DSC03416.JPG"><img style="cursor: pointer; width: 240px; height: 320px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S9xVydhco8I/AAAAAAAAB8k/JJEAJrEfI6g/s320/DSC03416.JPG" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5466338373127676866" border="0" /></a><br /><br />Her birthday was April 27th so I've been thinking of her alot. :) Happy Birthday, Mom!nikkihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417678777974232233noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-955329476795293009.post-44166828734780211942010-03-19T20:26:00.001-07:002010-03-19T20:36:37.598-07:00A new cartridge and a challenge<div><br /></div><div><br /></div>So, I won the Sentimentals Cricut Cartridge from <a href="http://agoscraftomonium.com/">A.Go's Craftomonium Blog</a>. He has created some incredible cards on his blog and somehow he has made the card he sent me smell so nice!! I have to find out his trick :)<div><br /></div><div>Of course, the minute I realized my prize came in the mail today I had to open it up, link it to my G and play. I decided to use this cart for the Gypsy MB challenge this weekend. We had to use 3 different cuts and one welded cut. I used the Sentimentals cart for the desk, lamp and inside frame. I used Ashlyn's Alphabet for the "Just a note".</div><div><br /></div><div>This was just a quick card since I don't have much time to play this weekend. Busch Gardens is opening tomorrow - we'll be there all day!!</div><div><br /></div><div>Here's the front of the card:</div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S6RB9tjaCzI/AAAAAAAAB7Q/dko2MlvPZi0/s1600-h/DSC03258.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S6RB9tjaCzI/AAAAAAAAB7Q/dko2MlvPZi0/s320/DSC03258.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5450553977481071410" /></a><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S6RB9tjaCzI/AAAAAAAAB7Q/dko2MlvPZi0/s1600-h/DSC03258.JPG"></a>Here's the inside:</div><div><br /></div><div><img src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S6RCexRlIII/AAAAAAAAB7Y/EEqBlWAm8bQ/s320/DSC03259.JPG" /><br /><div><br /></div></div>nikkihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417678777974232233noreply@blogger.com2tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-955329476795293009.post-22980677414971528552010-03-13T17:38:00.000-08:002010-03-13T17:41:05.210-08:00Chester<div><br /></div><div>The Gypsy MB Mascot - Chester</div><div><br /></div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S5w-b2lh8oI/AAAAAAAAB7I/ZS-jOwJxwMM/s1600-h/chestermascot-1.jpg"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 194px; height: 320px;" src="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S5w-b2lh8oI/AAAAAAAAB7I/ZS-jOwJxwMM/s320/chestermascot-1.jpg" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5448298297441776258" /></a><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://3.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S5w-b2lh8oI/AAAAAAAAB7I/ZS-jOwJxwMM/s1600-h/chestermascot-1.jpg"></a><br />The Gypsy MB is filled with a wonderfully goofy group of ladies. My friend Cher over at <a href="http://cherylswindow.blogspot.com/2010/03/beautiful-blogger-award.html">Cheryl's Window</a> gave me my first Blog Award!! <div><br /></div><div>I am so honored that she would think of me and my little Blog. :)</div><div><br /></div><div>So, I'm supposed to tell you 7 things about myself and pass this award onto other Blogs that I admire. Here goes!</div><div><br /></div><div>1.) I am a stay at home mom with 2 crazy kids. After teaching for only 2 years, I left the classroom when my son, Aaron, was born. 4 years later, Cora made an appearance. I love my kids and am happy that I am able to stay home with them. But, I am probably the world's worst house keeper. I hate doing laundry, dishes, cleaning of any sort and I absolutely don't cook. Thankfully, I have the world's best husband who does all of the cooking for us. :)</div><div><br /></div><div>2.) I am not good with words at all. I am very short and to the point. Eloquent is not a word that anyone would ever use to describe me. </div><div><br /></div><div>3.) I met my hubby when I was 14 and he was 15 in 1987. We married in 1991 and have been together on a crazy roller coaster since! This October will be 23 years together!</div><div><br /></div><div>4.) I am more of a scrapbooker than a card maker when it comes to crafts. </div><div><br /></div><div>5.) I am a supply hoarder and almost hate using my stash! I have more paper than some scrapbooking stores and I still flinch when I use my patterned paper. I save my scraps and have a huge tote filled with them. I'll use them eventually - I will!</div><div><br /></div><div>6.) My son has Autism and I feel like a failure in helping him deal with his disability.</div><div><br /></div><div>7.) Our favorite outdoor activities are to go Letterboxing and Geocaching. </div><div><br /></div><div>Now, to find some Beautiful Bloggers to pass along this award!</div><div><br /></div><div>Adventures~With~Gretchen - <a href="http://adventureswithgretchen.blogspot.com/">http://adventureswithgretchen.blogspot.com/</a></div><div><br /></div><div>A Place for My Cards - <a href="http://aplaceformycards.blogspot.com/">http://aplaceformycards.blogspot.com/</a></div><div><br /></div><div>Clever Soiree - <a href="http://cleversoiree.blogspot.com/">http://cleversoiree.blogspot.com/</a></div><div><br /></div><div>Content With Mediocrity - <a href="http://ladamasinverguenza.blogspot.com/">http://ladamasinverguenza.blogspot.com/</a></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div>nikkihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417678777974232233noreply@blogger.com0tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-955329476795293009.post-62910322220588676672010-02-27T19:36:00.001-08:002010-02-27T19:41:59.663-08:00Some recent craft projects.<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S4nlleCPpPI/AAAAAAAAB6c/kHo5lpitNks/s1600-h/DSC03211.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S4nlleCPpPI/AAAAAAAAB6c/kHo5lpitNks/s320/DSC03211.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5443134056534353138" /></a><div>These cards were just some quick "thinking of you" cards for my MIL and Stepmom.</div><div><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S4nlleCPpPI/AAAAAAAAB6c/kHo5lpitNks/s1600-h/DSC03211.JPG"></a><br /><a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S4nlkz3tFoI/AAAAAAAAB6U/SvVPjE8gfxQ/s1600-h/DSC03210.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://4.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S4nlkz3tFoI/AAAAAAAAB6U/SvVPjE8gfxQ/s320/DSC03210.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5443134045215856258" /></a><br /><div><br /></div><div>The kids treat bags for their classmates for Valentine's Day.</div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div><div><br /></div></div>nikkihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417678777974232233noreply@blogger.com5tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-955329476795293009.post-3389154962759848512010-01-15T10:49:00.001-08:002010-01-15T10:52:36.031-08:00My Scrapping Space<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S1C5Z7A3bVI/AAAAAAAAB4w/8Nwk_pri5mk/s1600-h/DSC03172.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://1.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/S1C5Z7A3bVI/AAAAAAAAB4w/8Nwk_pri5mk/s320/DSC03172.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5427041405970640210" /></a><br />We moved to our new home on January 02, 2010. Of course, one of the first things I did was unpack and set up my Space. (A girl's gotta have priorities!) I'm finally all set up and I love it! It was the coolest kit with very retro looking colors. I decided to use it to create my second ever layout with baby pics of me :) I'll also be entering it into a layout contest on a Yahoo Group that I belong to. Wish me luck!</div>nikkihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417678777974232233noreply@blogger.com4tag:blogger.com,1999:blog-955329476795293009.post-91046041954099200512009-11-15T19:27:00.000-08:002009-11-15T19:32:51.906-08:00Snowy Layout :)<a onblur="try {parent.deselectBloggerImageGracefully();} catch(e) {}" href="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/SwDHKJJDg2I/AAAAAAAAB2w/0wUorr1e6RE/s1600/DSC02670.JPG"><img style="cursor:pointer; cursor:hand;width: 320px; height: 240px;" src="http://2.bp.blogspot.com/_pICkW23gM80/SwDHKJJDg2I/AAAAAAAAB2w/0wUorr1e6RE/s320/DSC02670.JPG" border="0" alt="" id="BLOGGER_PHOTO_ID_5404538529911112546" /></a><br /><div><br /></div><div>This is a layout that I did for a sketch contest.</div>nikkihttp://www.blogger.com/profile/07417678777974232233noreply@blogger.com0
